Melanatia No.1

Melanatia is a sci-fi, dystopian graphic novel. Melanatia begins in 2048. Ahead of a false Presidential election a young neurodivergent biologist, named Moses Clark, has discovered a cure for the current birth defect crisis, using melanin as a key ingredient. Along the way Moses gets the opportunity from U.S. Senator Ufi Oriaku to win an election, restore democracy, and cease state sanctioned violence against his separatist rebel family, isolated on the Atlantic and Gulf Coasts of America. Moses soon learns of the nefarious plans the PPP party, and the opposition party, has for Moses’s cure. Taking his destiny, and that of the free world in his hands, he straddles various political apparatuses, familial conflicts, and his own internal obstacles in an attempt to liberate his people. Beginning and ending at the historic site of the arrival of the first African slaves, Fort Monroe, Hampton, Virginia; Melanatia is a story which interweaves societal constructs and the biological artifacts from which they come, into a tale about faith and courage in the fight for autonomy
